How it started...

Aleah has felt a call to Europe since 2015, and when we got married, we felt the Lord was going to move us to Europe soon after we got married.

We love YWAM's mission statement, which is "To know God and to make God known." We had the opportunity to spend last summer pioneering a School of Worship in Lausanne, Switzerland, and we knew that would be a gateway for us to go back to Europe long-term! As we were praying about which base to join, YWAM Amsterdam in the Netherlands became more apparent as a place we could step into ministry together, and see a long- term focus of missions for us. We are excited to be working with the Worship and Prayer department in Amsterdam, as well as working with the Mosaic Recording studio to see revival come forth in Europe.

What is YWAM?

Youth With A Mission, or YWAM, is a global movement of Christians from many cultures, age groups and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world. Also known as YWAM (pronounced “WHY-wham”), we unite in a common purpose to know God and to make Him known.

Back when YWAM began in 1960, our main focus was to help youth get involved in missions. Today, we still focus on youth and we also include people of all ages. We currently have tens of thousands of staff (called “YWAMers”) from nearly every country, including places like Indonesia, Nepal, Mozambique, and Colombia.

We are primarily involved with Worship and Prayer in YWAM. We are passionate about developing, mentoring and teaching worshipers as we long to see people moved closer to Jesus. We work with different worship seminars and conferences, as well as School of Worship (SOW), which is a secondary school in YWAM. We have a big heart for worship, so we are most heavily involved in SOWs. We have been involved with staffing, leading, pioneering and teaching on SOWs around the world, and are so excited to continue partnering with that ministry.
